Elastly reprices millions of SKUs a day, and every recommendation has to be fast, correct, and explainable. We're looking for a senior backend engineer to help build the systems that make that possible — the pipelines, services, and APIs the whole product runs on.
What you'll do
- Design and own backend services that turn raw cost, demand, and competitor data into priced recommendations at scale.
- Build the data pipelines and APIs that connect customer ERPs and storefronts to our pricing engine.
- Make latency, correctness, and observability first-class — when a price is wrong, everyone needs to know why and fast.
- Partner with the modeling team to take elasticity models from notebook to production reliably.
- Set technical direction and raise the bar through code review, design docs, and mentorship.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years building and operating production backend systems, ideally data-intensive ones.
- Strong in a modern backend language (Go, Python, Rust, or similar) and comfortable with SQL and event-driven systems.
- A track record of owning services end to end — design, ship, operate, and iterate.
- You write for the next reader. Clear code, clear docs, clear reasoning.
